Welcome to our Website
Our practice focuses on movement from the center in a spiraling and flowing manner, emphasizing the need to blend with the attacker to provide the energy for the technique. We strive to provide an environment that is both safe and enjoyable to all who wish to join us on our journey.
If you would like to begin training with us, or if you have any questions regarding our Aikido community, please contact Jay Lindholm or stop by and visit. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have as well as share our aikido experiences with you.

Seth Green has not been with us very long following his move to Texas from Massachusetts, but he was certainly game for his Yonkyu test. Seth demonstrated a lot of good aikido ideas during his test. The primary one was not focusing on the outcome and continuously looking for connection to his partner without using strength. Overall Seth did an outstanding job, even when faced with the different movement of the ukes that naturally comes with a new dojo. Way to go Seth!! Thanks to everyone for supporting the preparation and kyu test. Click here to see the kyu test pictures.

On Sunday, November 16th, we had two kyu tests with Stephen Hughes testing for Yonkyu and David Huffacker testing for Gokyu. Both tests were well done. Stephen did a good job. The randori was very well done with excellent movement and relaxed arms. During the test you could see Stephen using his center and thinking about connecting from his center. Way to go Stephen! David followed with a very strong Gokyu test. He moved very well and easily executed all techniques on the test. This is due to his very consistent approach to training. Overall the test was well done. Way to go David! Following the test we all went to Pei Wei for dinner and enjoyed great food and conversation, all of which was very enjoyable. Thanks to everyone for participating in the test prep and event. Click here to see the kyu test pictures. |
